What Premium costs
$7.99 per month, or $63.92 per year, which is $5.33 a month billed once, in USD. Prices are shown exclusive of tax. Any sales tax, VAT or similar tax is calculated, collected and remitted by Stripe as merchant of record and is added to your total at checkout. The total, including tax, is shown before you confirm.
Stripe is the merchant of record and issues your receipt. Erudia provides the service.
The renewal terms
These are shown next to the consent box before you pay, and they are the same words here:
Your subscription continues until you cancel it.
You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
The recurring charge is the plan price shown, plus any tax, on each renewal date; we give 30 days' notice before any price change.
Monthly plans renew every month; annual plans renew every year.
There is no minimum purchase.
How to cancel
Open Settings → Manage subscription. That opens the Stripe customer portal, where "Cancel plan" is on the first screen. 2 clicks, online, in the same place you subscribed. No offer, survey or waiting period stands between you and the button. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, and you keep Premium until then. If the portal is ever unavailable, email erudia@erudia.org from your account address and we cancel for you the same day.
Reminders
Before an annual plan renews, we email you at least 30 days ahead (at least 60 days if your account address is in Canada) with the amount, the date and a cancel link.
Every subscriber gets a reminder of the plan, the charge and how to cancel at least once a year.
If we ever offer a free trial, we email you 3 days before it would convert to a paid plan.
We give 30 days' notice before any price change, which applies only to renewals after that date.
Refunds
Apart from that, and except where the law says otherwise, a payment is not refunded for the part of a billing period you did not use. If we remove a feature that was part of Premium, or close the service, we refund the unused part of any period you prepaid.
Rights that depend on where you live
European Union and United Kingdom. You normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase. Because Premium gives you immediate access to digital content, we ask you at checkout to consent to that access starting at once and to acknowledge that you lose the withdrawal right when it does; the receipt confirms both. If you do not want to give that consent, email us instead of subscribing at checkout and we will start your access after the 14 days. The consumer guarantees of the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the EU Digital Content Directive apply and are not limited by anything here.
Brazil. You may cancel within 7 days of subscribing for a full refund, whatever you have used.
Australia. The consumer guarantees of the Australian Consumer Law apply and cannot be excluded.
United States. Your state's automatic-renewal law may give you the right to cancel by any reasonable means if we miss a required notice; if that ever happens, tell us and we will honour it.
If something goes wrong with a charge
Email erudia@erudia.org first: a charge after you cancelled, a double charge, or a plan you did not choose, is refunded on request once we see it. You always keep the right to dispute a charge with your card issuer, and we do not penalise an account for doing so.
